R-E-S-P-E-C-T

No automatic alt text available.

R-E-S-P-E-C-T yourself
We have all heard the saying, how people treat you is often a reflection of how you treat yourself.
To honor yourself and others is to revere it, to show courteous regard, and also to hold ourselves in high respect.
When we are not saying 'NO' when we mean yes we are disrespecting ourselves and the other.
When we don't honor our bodies, our thoughts, actions, and spirit we are disrespecting ourselves and the other.
Each of us is guilty of showing disrespect at one time or another to someone else and ourselves.
Let's practice being more mindful of our thoughts, beliefs, ideas, and actions.
Let us be open to the opinions and ideas of others without having to rearrange them. Let's give the other's the same RESPECT we want for ourselves.
If we are struggling with respecting another, maybe the problem lies within, time for self-examination. It's a good idea to check in with ourselves when we feel rubbed the wrong way, after all, we can be very sensitive and take things out of content, not always, but sometimes.
People do show up and sometimes perform for our highest good, I call them the messengers of life. Sometimes it is not so much about what they are doing, but how we are reacting.
Our self-worth and self-respect for ourselves can be revealed in our responses and actions.
We must take responsibility for how we are being treated, get away from the blame and shame game.
We must get to know ourselves more in a way that our intentions are for the highest good for ourselves and others: Kindness, openheartedness, and understanding, forgiveness and know that not everything is about us and that we can move on and away from a situation that does not serve us or the other.
Forgiveness for self and others will set us free, it takes away the judging, it just says we are all here working our way back to ourselves.
Bottom line; Believe in yourself, treat yourself with respect and don't take anything personally. Dolby Dharma

"I Do"

Image may contain: one or more people
Love this perfect declaration to thine own self-be true. We must pledge to ourselves to be
kinder, more loving, accepting and forgiving. Marriage is one of these core
bonds we do with other people, so often giving ourselves away. That is usually
when all the drama begins, we give ourselves away, then wake-up and what us back.
Today, think about
committing to yourself in a way that you feel whole, independent, rooted in a
healthy relationship with ourselves first and foremost. Self-Marriage is a way
to validate, declare, share, and sanctify self-love. Simply just say, "I
do"! Dolby Dharma

I ME WED
Let's begin by telling a simple truth: You will probably never create a resilient, invigorating bond
with the lush accomplice of your dreams until you master the art of loving
yourself ingeniously. A wedding ritual that joins you to yourself could
catalyze an uncanny shift in your personal mojo that would attract a fresh, hot
consort into your life, or else awaken the sleeping potential of a simmering alliance you have now.

If you're feeling
brave, try speaking the following words aloud:

I am no longer
looking for the perfect partner.

I am my own perfect partner."
Say it even stronger:
I am no longer looking for the perfect partner
to salve all my wounds and fix all my mix-ups
and bridge all my chasms.
I am no longer looking for the perfect partner because I am my own perfect partner."
I pledge to wake myself up, never hold back, have nothing to lose, go all the way, kiss the
stormy sky, be the hero of my own story, ask for everything I need and give
everything I have, take myself to the river when it's time to go to the river,
and take myself to the mountaintop when it's time to go to the mountaintop.
I vow to love myself unconditionally and unconventionally until the end of time and beyond.

"Serving up a dose of deserve"

No automatic alt text available.

Self-acceptance or self-love, when approached from a deeper level of our true nature-love, is not superficial or vanity. Self-love is an honoring of our life-force by loving ourselves no matter what flaws, qualities or challenges we may hold within and express without.
We can begin each day with new thoughts, new discoveries, and a new awareness.
When are intentions are for the highest good of self-acceptance and kindness for humanity, everyone benefits!
We are all unique expressions working our way back to ourselves. How Awesome is that?

"Feelin Alright"

"Feelin Alright"
Day Twenty-Seven of the Self-love 31-day 5-minute Challenge: Self-Awareness
Create a list of at least 10 of your virtues, talents, accomplishments, and the things that make you 'uniquely' you. We all have many attributes that make us distinctive, some we are aware of, and others not so much. Getting to know thyself in a busy world is not an easy task unless we make some time to acknowledge ourselves.
Journaling our features helps us recognize ourselves, and maybe ignite a spark to help us hone in on a quality about ourselves we might not be aware of that we can foster more of.
Creating a daily habit of self-awareness contributes to changing up the way you might feel about yourself in a positive way, and allow for more acceptance when things don't go how you would like them. Unfortunately, that is when we can beat ourselves up, and give up.
Most of all don't be shy about your qualities, you are an amazing being, and self-awareness is where you can discover your dormant treasures.
A real voyage of Self-discovery ahead. Bon Voyage!  Dolby Dharma

Befriending Yourself; Make time for a play date."

"Befriending Yourself; Make time for a play date."

Day Fifteen of the Self-love 31-day 5-minute challenge: Friendship

I invite you to BEfriend yourself, you are wondering how do I do that, or what does that look like! First; everything begins within! There is no question about that. What's on the inside vibes on the outside, that is the law of attraction. Before we can be any kind of friend, we must start with ourselves. We most likely don't even think about ourselves in that light.

Today, just for five minutes’ feel what it's like to be a bit more “Self-ISH” (not selfish) but taking care of your own well-being and not leaving yourself behind so that you can bring to the table the very best YOU. After all, everywhere you go there you are, love that expression.
Being a friend to yourself is the introduction to the beginnings of relationships with others. First, we must approve and accept ourselves before we can share that friendship with another.
Think about how many times you have gone out of your way for a friend to be kind, and leave yourself out. How many times did you sacrifice yourself for another's attention and time without giving yourself that same courtesy? Plenty, I am sure, I know because I have done it.
It is crazy how great we can be to others showing them the BEST parts of our 'Giving Tree', but when it comes to our own needs, that goes on the back burner. Not being friends with ourselves doesn't allow sustainability with others.
Being a good, kind, loving BF is showing YOURSELF that same grace and hospitality that we show our friends. Be kind to yourself, embrace your humanness; Celebrate yourself as a part of a whole family, the likenesses of all those outside ourselves, that we truly are, imperfect, perfect, filled with magic, filled with love to share and wanting to be loved, accepted, appreciated and most important, connected.
Self-friendship is knowing YOU. It’s not only about embracing the less appetizing parts of ourselves, but also engaging a strength that perhaps has gone unnoticed because we might have been looking outside for that part of ourselves. Befriending yourself is about coming into your fullness. If we don’t treat ourselves in a friendly manner, we don’t treat life in a friendly fashion.
I have always believed, "the best way to have a friend is to be a friend to yourself first and foremost."  What you do for yourself, affects your world outside of you, remember to practice random acts of kindness towards yourself! Dolby Dharma
The Mantra: I AM my own best friend. I choose to give love to myself first and foremost.

"What's LOVE got to do with it"

"What's LOVE got to do with it."

Day Twelve of the Self-love 31-day 5-minute challenge: LOVE

I invite you to take five minutes and think about a situation in your life where you can BE a loving presence, Give more love and Feel more love for Yourself. YES, this is about Self-Love.
Love is a universal word, but not a universal feeling, at least not to me. I have always thought of love as something indescribable, intangible and ambiguous in nature. The "L-word" is just blurted out, but it doesn't mean the same thing to everyone that is for sure.
Where to begin: Loving yourself first, in a healthy, NONnarrcistic way; that is having a reverence for humanity, wanting for others what you want for yourself.
Loving yourself is key to knowing what it feels like to have a quality connection to self and others. If you don't own it, or know what it feels like to honor yourself, you can't possibly know the depth of another, without knowing 'YOU' first.
The power in a 'love connection' begins with self-acceptance.
In our culture, we are too busy seeking someone to love us, take care of us to make us feel accepted, validated, whole and complete. Not for all of us, but for most of us.
On a subconscious level, we seek people to grow more, learn more, and work out our ancestor's generational downloads. These downloads have taken up residency in our body, minds, and spirit. We are not aware of it; hence ending up in crazy making relationships.
These collective generational dramas live in the cells of our bodies waiting to be fed. We all carry around all kinds of stories about ourselves, but until we address and gain an understanding of what our needs are, address the wounds, then we know that what we were seeking outside ourselves we had all along. Love is meant to be a compliment to each other, at least that is how I feel it.
Receiving love from another always feels good, but the love I feel for myself allows me to have healthy relationships with others. I want for them, what I want for myself.
The good news with this challenge, you get to spend five minutes opening to yourself and see where you can love yourself more.
Today get over to the mirror, gaze into the soul of your eyes and allow the floodgates of love to open. Spend those minutes looking for what is beautiful and loving about YOU. Receive it as you breathe in the life force of love that is your birthright. Open a little more, and take in all that is RIGHT with you, sip a little more love in. Love is never-ending and eternally flowing, all you have to do is practice this mirror work each morning. You will be glad you did, it sets the tone for a unordinary day of unexpected LOVE.
At the end of the day, it ALL boils down to LOVE. <3 Dolby Dharma
Today's Mantra: I AM a loving presence, love is my life force.
Love is more than what can be expressed in words, love is more than grammar and verbs. Love is compassionate and soothing, love can be painful and grueling, but only for growth. Love is not abusive, love is not vindictive, love is not selfish. Love will not leave you with a black eye and hating yourself. Love is the building blocks of creation, love is the substance from which we are made. From love, to love, by love. ~Muneera Rashida

Peaceful Warrior!

Day Six of the Self-love 31-day 5-minute challenge: Peace
Today I invite you to fill your heart with inner-peace, that space where self-acceptance dwells. Life is busy busy busy, and sometimes we forget that all we must do is close our eyes and remember, 'There's no place like home.'
Peace is letting go, living moment to moment. Do not plan the next minute, hour or day for five minutes; feel peace, believe peace and know that peace is the path of acceptance. Your breath will be your guide, just focus on your inhales and exhales and let it all go!
Inner peace is not something to achieve, it is your birthright, you just must access it and know it is within your power to create a few moments of peace that is always available to you.
Ways to help tap into your heart space is to create peace with your hand gestures, feel your heart beating, free your mind and listen to the inner voice of love and acceptance; YOU are enough. Act peacefully, speak peacefully and feel peacefully. Peace comes from making changes within the heart. Peace comes from your intentions.
As we know ourselves more, know we are loved by a divine source, a calmness brews within filling the heart with inner-peace that fuels the body mind and spirit, and you come to this place inside you that you can endure, regardless of what challenges life brings to you.
Peace opens, as you melt into your true nature; that you are whole, perfect and powerful within.
Today’s Affirmation: I hold peace, love, and serenity in my being, I welcome a new way of thinking as I shift my approach within.
“You find peace not by rearranging the circumstances of your life, but by realizing who you are at the deepest level.” ~Eckhart Tolle

Self-Love Challenge!

Self-love 31-day 5-minute challenge; practice these tips each day preferably in the morning. Take notice of your being as you begin your day. Today's challenge; feel that energy as you connect to Mother Earth the infinite source of everything that breathes life to, in and around you, taking inventory of your birthright to be here is all you have to do.
Just open your heart-mind to the divine energy, the life force of all that there is. Then throughout your day keep connecting to Source and notice how grounded you are and how much more energy you feel and how much gratitude you gain within. Heal yourself with mother earth, ask and it is given.
Today’s Affirmation: I connect to my source of infinite energy. I am grounded, I am healed, I am whole. Dolby Dharma

I believe in ME!

Believing in yourself is the most powerful resource that you can possibly experience. When you are in this state of mind, no one can sway you from your path, your dreams, and goals.
Do not doubt your abilities, skills, talents, opinions, and numerous other aspects that make you who you are.
If you don't believe in YOU, no one else will either. Believing that you can make it happen for yourself is a major step towards making a life that you like. Your mantra: I Believe in ME!
"You are in charge of your feelings, beliefs, and actions. And you teach others how to behave toward you. While you cannot change other people, you can influence them through your own behaviors and actions. By being a living role model of what you want to receive from others, you create more of what you want in your life." Eric Allenbaugh
 looking forward to the day.

Out of your head and into your heart!

Note to self: Be kinder to yourself. Send out the vibrations you wish to experience in your life; that is the law of attraction.

What comes to you is the perfect opportunity to make it what you want. Remember we are always in tune with our emotions.

No matter who or what sets us off, we have choices. IN joy the beautiful you. Find all that is right, in you, around you, above and below. You are the Universe!

I shall no longer entertain negative thoughts or self-saboteur
feelings to zap me of my energy.
I shall focus on all the unordinary, fantastic and kindness that is in my life.
I will think it, feel it, and speak it loving thoughts.
I will send out vibes of positive energy into the world.
I shall be grateful for all the wonderful things it will attract into my life.

I am an open and willing vessel. Breathe the mental self-nurturing energy into the rest of your body. Get out of your head and into your heart. <3 Dolby Dharma

The Fool on the Hill!

A little foolishness is a letting go, it might open a few doors within!
In the tarot deck of cards, the Fool number 0 is a very powerful card, a new beginning and an ending of something that no longer resonates with your life.
You are powerful and can reinvent yourself at a moment’s notice. So often people make fun of the fool, but the fool is the smart one, the fool doesn't care what you think, the fool lives his life per his terms. He is always prepared to step out and explore life. He is not foolish, but kicking back and letting go of how life looks and allowing its natural process to unfold.
The fool sees each day is an adventure and each moment is to be experienced, capturing unordinary moments. No time to waste worry and wonder who will approve or how it will look.
The fool is all about creating new experiences, setting a trail ablaze.
The Fool encourages to believe in yourself, follow your heart, no matter how crazy or foolish it might 'appear' on the outside to others.
Take heart today; the fool on the hill sees all things possible. Dolby Dharma
The fool represents the spirit within us, to be expressed and experienced as wonder, awe, curiosity and anticipation. We never know what is in the future, but we do know ourselves better than we think.
Trusting yourself, and not putting so much thought of how it looks to others affords you freedom to BE.
BEing a Fool lets the cat out of my bag, the wind out of my sails. The word comes from the Latin follies, meaning “windbag, a pair of bellows.” The pleasure of being foolish lies precisely in the freedom it gives from self-importance and social expectations; the freedom from striving, from the pressure to impress others, to do things the way others do them. ~From the book Seven Sins for a Life Worth Living

Who are we?

feeling whole.
Who are we? We are the sum parts of everything we have encountered on and in our life's journey. The paths we have taken whether we chose that road or not has influenced who we are.
From all the arguments, we have had, the good times, the celebrations, the unpleasant conversation, world events and the deaths of our loved ones, we have evolved into these moments.
We connect daily with all kinds of people and situations unconsciously; we are drawn from an unconscious place within to develop our souls and grow an aspect of ourselves that lays in wait only to reveal more about ourselves. Our dislikes, our beliefs and who we love are all extensions of our journeys and will continue to change throughout our lives with each encounter of life.
We are Divinely created from many moments in our lives. Moment to moment the "The Who AM I" changes us.
Do we know who we are, or is it just an idea of the self, we want to represent ourselves as? Maybe we are this incredible 'ONENESS,' we say we are; a little bit of every living thing and every living BEing. The next time someone asks you, "who are you," smile and say, "I am YOU always changing." Self-love is born from awareness!
Quoted from the Beatle lyrics; I am he as you are he as you are me
And we are all together! Dolby Dharma <3
