'Sitting in the Silence,'
Day Eighteen of the Self-love 31-day 5-minute challenge: Introspection
I invite you to take the grand journey inside your interior castle and discover the treasures that are waiting for you to find. Observe without evaluating, only then the unwrapped gifts of your own true Nature will become unveiled.
Winter is the time for shadow work, the hermit beckons us, as the nights invites us on an 'inward journey' to know ourselves more.
The hibernation, the turning within is our opportunity to practice a deeper listening to whatever arises, not looking for anything other than where can I open more, expand my breath, be more love and let the Divine light enter to heal the cells that nourish the body.
The benefits: Knowing ourselves more; as we move inward we take ourselves out of the world and into the world that knows us all too well, that knows what is best if we listen, trust and gain wisdom unraveling our highest self.
Surrendering; a benefit of 'I don't know' gives us the innocence of a child open to whatever arises.
Soulfulness; unites us with our lost soul. There is an internal energy, by going within can we tap into this infinite resource.
You will undoubtedly find more benefits in five minutes of just being and going within. There is much to be revealed.
Once we journey into ourselves, we can appreciate with new eyes; we awaken more as an individual that compliments the collective.
Dolby Dharma

The Mantra: My heart is open to myself.
“APPLY WITHIN
You once told me
You wanted to find
Yourself in the world -
And I told you to
First apply within,
To discover the world
within you.
You once told me
You wanted to save
The world from all its wars -
And I told you to
First, save yourself
From the world,
And all the wars
You put yourself
Through.

"I'm up on a tight wire-Holding my heart and head up high."

"I'm up on a tight wire-Holding my heart and head up high."

Day Eleven of the Self-love 31-day 5-minute challenge:  Balance
I invite you today to take five minutes and align your body, mind, and heart; all that this requires is that you step into yourself and feel the whole you.
We naturally carry 'opposite' energies within; masculine and feminine, strength and weaknesses, freedom and fear, love and dislike, and a host more emotional components that make us human, that can throw us out of balance.
How do we know when we are out of balance? We will feel it: It shows up as resistance physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and energetically, we seem out of sorts, and we can't quite figure it out. With all the energies flying around us, it definitely can throw us off and contribute to our imbalances in life.
Balance regime; feel the breath as it enters the body. On an inhalation, feel the fullness as everything expands, on exhalation,  emptying out what no longer serves you. Feel the sensation of the rise and fall of the chest, lungs, and abdomen as your body falls into balance, thank it!
Breathe deeply as you bring together all the sum parts of the whole you into alignment. Hold whatever comes up for you for five minutes, while you breathe in and out, bringing it all together, bringing in what you desire, letting go of what no longer serves you.
Our physical body supports us, but finding the balance with our mind and heart are essential, it has the "SuperPowers" to heal and bring balance into our lives.   Dolby Dharma
Today’s Affirmation: I balance and awaken all parts of myself. I Communicate my feelings openly and ask for what you want.

Bust out your passion!

Day Five of the Self-love 31-day 5-minute challenge: Passion
Today I invite you to unwrap your passion in whatever you are doing, really dig in and give it your heart and spirit. It doesn't matter what it is, it can be: having lunch with a friend, hanging out with yourself, doing nothing but relaxing and feeling good about it, helping people, or just having a conversation with a stranger.
Tap into how you are feeling while doing it. If you felt joy, there’s a hint of what you are passionate about right there at that moment and the beauty is passion is the gift that keeps on giving, it keeps evolving as you move through life.
Passion doesn't necessarily mean work or a particular talent, it just means being in the moment with whatever you are doing. Passion is NOT a “niche”. You can be passionate all over the place.
Passion is the journey of our day to day life. Passion is enlivenment.
Passion is an emotion to be acted upon at the moment something shows up, and you feel drawn to open up more. Passion is about uncovering your authentic self. Passion is about discovery; it is the day to day hidden treasures that are right in you, around you and in front of you. Passion is the ebb and flows of life. Passion is not something to get, it is YOU.
Allow your passion to bubble up and out. Find what you are passionate about just for today? Live your Joy! Life will just get better and better. Dolby Dharma
Today’s Affirmation: I AM a passionate life. I feel my passion with every breath. I am alive with passion.
"Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you." -Oprah Winfrey

The things we do for love!

We all want to be loved, but at what expense do we give ourselves over to another person to have that love? What price do we pay when we are disappointed because someone did not love us the way we thought we needed to be loved or except us for the way we are or behave?
That is the path of pain and pleasure in this life; to embark upon the journey, to discover and open to that ambiguous emotion we call love.
We have all kinds of people and conditions in our lives that stir us up emotionally, we have platonic lovers, as wells as familiar people all who we have close bonds with. Some stay around because they genuinely love with an open heart and others leave because their conditions and expectations were not met. We've all been there, staying and leaving.
The whole point of self-love is understanding what it means and feels like to love/like ourselves in a healthy way that we become the compliment to the people we connect with. When we feel good about ourselves, and understand that this journey is about differences and humans are an energetic field of emotions that are constantly shape shifting. We can start appreciating ourselves for being who we are; a fireball of emotions subject to change at any moment, and it is ok.
When we know ourselves more we will love/like the people in our lives just the way they are; complicated, beautiful, loving humans who want what we want to feel loved and be loved; acceptance is key to being happy within, feeling fully alive with an open heart.
It's all about the love! Dolby Dharma

Be a Master of Each Moment!

Be a master of each moment.
We get to make up our minds about what kind of day we want, how we would like to react to the speed bumps we come upon, but most of all use the god given power within to create a life that brings us peace, presence, and patience for ourselves and others.
Change up some of your habitual moves, strengthen your inner-vision and be open to the myriad of possibilities that your energy can bring to you each day.
Remember; Don't think about the things you don't want, but all the things you want to accomplish within.
Energy with intentions is the creator of change. But it’s important to remind yourself that a life of attainment does not usually happen in an instance or by chance, but by your intentions.
Now; Focus on what you want in your life and kick some ass!!!!
Each day is a fresh start. Dolby Dharma
Affirmation for this week of OPENNESS - "My personal experiences bring me depth and wisdom. An open heart and spirit are all that is required to assure my success."

"Swing within"

We are still basking in the Magical Super Full Moon energy, at least I am.
As the moon begins to decrease in size and move toward the New Moon in Sagittarius, it is a perfect opportunity to start setting new intentions, leave old limiting habits, beliefs behind, assess where we are, and focus on endless possibilities. The beauty of another breath brings a gift of another opportunity to begin again.

Time to nurture ourselves, go within, give ourselves permission to put ourselves first. All things, people, and situations in our lives depend on us keeping ourselves together.

If our foundation within is taken care of, we can handle when things fall apart, and they do. We need to care for ourselves in healthy ways, by nourishing our body, mind, and spirits. Let's fill our hearts by aligning our thoughts in divine order of priorities, self-care first.

“Your vision will become clear only when you look into your heart. Who looks outside dreams. Who looks inside, awakens.” – Carl Jung

Mommy I love you (it begins with a healing).

I was reading an article the other day about healing the Mother wound; I was very touched by many bullet points the article shared remembering the day of my healing with my mom at the young age of 24 years. When we are little, feeling connected to our moms in the early years is so natural, you did not think about it, after all, it is MOM, the caregiver, the MOTHER.

As time marched on and I got older I could feel the separation from my mom, not being conscious of the subtle change, I slowly was transferring my needs for comfort, understanding, and connection onto my girlfriends. The duality of life was taking form; I was disconnecting wanting to be independent, but still wanting my connection to my familiar mom.

Fast forward with a connection in mind, in 2013 my partner Ellie Bracken and I created the 'The Bonding Blanket', a unique way to connect with our friends, loves, mentors, sibs, etc. The idea behind our bonding blanket is likened to the woobie blanket, a favorite toy that we felt connected, loved and safe with when we were young, and it was given to us by someone special, most likely our moms.

We have succeeded; how do we know this? The stories that our customers have shared with us, and the many ways the bonding blanket has been gifted. We know this bonding blanket is making a difference. We love our favorite things!

With all this in mind, let us not forget Mother's day is fast approaching and what a beautiful, loving way to express your feelings by giving her something she can cuddle with and know that she is loved. Don't forget your Grandmothers, Aunts, and anyone you want to show your love.

Big girls don't cry... They just receive a Bonding Blanket
This story is so dear to me.
My BFF wanted to have her teeth fixed so bad for many years, it always seemed so out of reach for her. We talked about it all the time, she would feel down, and I would lift her up with optimism, saying, 'you will have teeth baby'.
She would say I was always so optimistic about it, only because it was hard for her to see how getting there would look.
Together we took baby steps, and of course it happened, the appointments, the lay-out of the procedure, and a Dentist she liked and trusted.
After all the diagnosing, financing were all done, it was time to schedule the appointment to get this job done. She set up her time, and much to her surprise, it was going to be a 4 hour surgery to get EVERYTHING done, she needed, crowns, root canals, fillings, etc; I was BLOWN away, and so was she. My friend has sensitive teeth to begin with, now she was about to embark upon 4 hours of what I would call 'Torture'. I was not sure how all this was truly going to pan out, after all, how much drilling can a gal take, not to mention having your mouth open for 4 hours.
Up until the appointed day, she was worried about the whole procedure. Not to mention that morning.

I could not be with her on that morning, her BF was taking her, they were going to come to me after, so I could care for her.
The next best thing I could think to offer her support and comfort, was to present her with one of our bonding blankets. I told her I would infuse my love and energy into it, give it to her, and she would know I was with her in spirit. She loved the idea, the day before we were hanging out, she asked me to wear this bonding blanket on my person, so that she could smell my scent (which she loves), and know that my energy was truly in that blanket. I did just that...
All day long, everywhere we went, I had that blanket, stuffed in my shirt...LOL....What a crazy sight to see, this blanket coming out of my top was noticeable. We went everywhere that day, shopping, lunch etc;. People stopped to ask me what it was all about. I just said, 'I am infusing my love into this blanket so my GF will have something tangible to take with her to the dentist office'. What a great idea were the many responses...

It truly was...

The surgery came and went, my GF got her NEW beautiful smile, her mouth is now healthy, and to top it off, she loves her bonding blanket so much, she sleeps with it every night.
